Setup - Settings Tab - Properties

Properties options allows certain settings to be configured that may be of interest in MyLights configurations

  • The Minimum password length may be changed to 0 in order to allow the MyLights system to be used without passwords. Otherwise, a non-zero value specfies the minimum length required for a user password.

  • The Max Override Duration value is used to specify the maximum amount of time that an occupant using MyLights can specify for an override. In some areas of the country, codes require this be limited to 2 hours.

  • The Override Frequency is also used with MyLights, in conjunction with the MyLights Desktop Override program. The MyLights Desktop Override sends override commands periodically while the occupants computer is in use.. The suggest value for this is 15 minutes. Setting longer values means there is less opportunity for energy savings. Setting shorter values generates more activity on the WebLink throughout the day.

  • Demo mode is used only for purposes of demontrating the WebLink.

  • Watchdog Device allows the adminstirator to specfic a relay that will be periodically activated with an "ON" command. By setting such a device with a time delay, this provide a contact closure that can be monitored for a severe WebLink or other communications failure. If the relay turns OFF, this indicates the WebLink was unable to perform its periodic "ON" command. The Watchdog device will receive an ON command every minute while the WebLink is functioning.
